Deployment Architecture

Splunk Forwarder Licensing Question

I'm looking to automate the deployment of the splunk using ansible on systems that do not have internet connectivity (and in some cases package managers). To this end, i'm wondering about the licensing issues with unpacking the splunk forwarder .tgz into a manual ansible deployment script and posting that publicly on GitHub for others who may have a similar issue?

I'm not going to lie, I don't speak legaleze and have no idea what this actually means, but maybe relevant? Nonetheless, I would suggest reaching out to Splunk directly. I doubt you want to take the word from someone here....
