Hello Team,
I am been asked regularly in interviews what are the minimum requirements for a successful Splunk instance deployemnt.
What I answer is as follows:
1. As data is replicated and searchable copies are regularly taken and search head so there should be a fast network connection.
2. As deployment server, master server and license master are contaced regularly also indexers computation of data and search head regularly shares KO with the cluster so I suggest a high end CPU for SE instance of servers however for UF a normal computation is good.
3. Memory for indexers is 40% of the total calendar day storage[I am incorrect in the storage requirement part].
Apart from these can you please suggest what else is the minimum requirement for deployment of about 100Gb per day.
Thanks a lot for your reply.
