How to migrate an existing app/dashboard in an old instance of Splunk Enterprise to a new instance in Splunk Cloud?

Is this a custom app (you made it) or a splunkbase app? If the latter, which one and which version? Which version of Splunk Enterprise is it running on?

@richgalloway  This is a custom app and the version of splunk enterprise is 8.0.4.1.

Package the app (using splunk package app myapp) and submit a support request to have it installed on your cloud instances.
Depending on the content of the app (just dashboards, for instance) you may be able to re-create it by copying text from the on-prem instance GUI to the cloud instance GUI.
