How the splunk license server find out the new splunk node added to the environment.

 I just want to know how the splunk license server identify the new splunk indexer added to our environment. Any config new to change in the new added index node.

As @gcusello said, other nodes must point to the LM not vice versa. When client connect to LM it sends it's GUID which LM is used to identify that client now and later on.

Hi @msplunk33,

When you configure an Indexer, you usually set it as License Slave, settig up the address of the License Master.

In other words, License Master is called by the new Indexer.
