Force forwarder to show up on forwarder manager screen

Using 6.0, most of my forwarders show up on the Forwarder Management screen. However, my test machine does not. Is there any way to force it to appear as the/some others do?

I've asked this question before, a couple of months ago, but the only answer was crickets.

If your test machine has your 6.0 deployment server instance designated in deploymentclients.conf, then it should show up in the Forwarder Management UI. The Forwarder Management UI will show every deployment client that has ever phoned home until the deployment server instance splunkd is restarted.
