Deployment Architecture

Enterprise Trial license: does it include clustering?

We are using Enterprise Trial License in our test environment so we just want to know whether we are able to create multi-site clustering and also Search Head Clustering.

FYI we have 1 Cluster master server, 1 Deployment master, 2 indexers and 1 search head server.

Thanks for your response.

So our trial license which we use has 60 days of expiry and 500 MB per day of indexing so in that can we perform multi site clustering & also Search Head Clustering.

Also can we configure Distributed search and configure LDAP authentication? If we configure LDAP authentication then how many users will be allowed to access using Enterprise Trial License.

Hi !
So did you manage to configure indexers cluster on trial version of Splunk?

We are planning to test this "cluster thing" first.

Guys i see that "Clustering" is not supported in "Splunk Free" version. Why do you say it is supported?
Splunk Free != Splunk Trial ?

Thanks in advance!

WOW seems it's really POSSIBLE, because in
http://localhost:8000/en-US/manager/system/licensing/licenses
1. Splunk Enterprise Download Trial
contains
MultisiteClustering
And after i changed to Splunk Free (by pressing "Change license group") i do NOT see anything with the word "cluter" there.

I'm in the process of indexer cluster configuration -- i will comment here on my results.

/// Yes. exactly.

Also can we configure Distributed search and configure LDAP authentication?
Yes, Single Sign-On/LDAP feature is available.

If we configure LDAP authentication then how many users will be allowed to access using Enterprise Trial License. /// no limit. (Maximum Users - Unlimited)
