Please, could someone tell me what's wrong in this?

   {% dropdown id="drop-list2" managerid="mysearch"  default=" " labelField="dad" valueField="dad" value="$dad$"|token_safe %}

   new SearchManager_send({
                        id: "mysearch-tree-send",
                        searchname: "mysearch-tree-send",
                        search: mvc.tokenSafe ("host=path | rex \"\,(?<child>.+)\:\" |  search child=$dad$ | table child ")
                });

my variable $dad$ is always empty

Hi,
Try to look your SearchManager's id. The managerid="mysearch" who is the manager inside your dropdown and must be the SearchManager's id which will populate your dropdown.

I do not recognize the class SearchManager_send. The regular SearchManager is aware of token-safe strings but I do not know if this custom class is.
