edit button missing from most dashboards?

I have the edit button on some dashboard, but not all? How can I get this button on all my dashboards.

The on 4.3.* the edit button is displayed only on views that :

  • are not a form
  • are not using advanced xml
  • are using only simple xml that can be manipulated by the edit wizard.

For all those, you have to go to the manager > UI > views and access the XML from there.

Too bad we can't bring it back by editing the DashboardTitleBar.html in share\splunk\search_mrsparkle\modules\nav.

This sounds like an access control issue. Check the permissions on your dashbord (view) and the role associated with your user.

Could certainly be access if you narrowed down that is is not a form and is not advanced xml view.
