Why does the Search Head not show index(er) stats?

I am new to splunk admin, so forgive if this is a n00b question.

My setup, the Indexers are clustered.

SH -> IDX 1
-> IDX 2

I am having troubles with the Search Head(SH) not showing any indexer stats. It does not show index size, events, will not pull any monitoring dashboards for the index cluster. The data is available on the indexer, either one, so it does exist. Is this normal behavior, or perhaps I configured something incorrectly?

In DMC add indexers to group/label, then save.
