Wallboard templates

I'm loving the Splunk dashboards and want to extend their reach to use as 'information radiators' on TV screens around the business.

Unfortunately, the dashboard styles don't translate well to a distant TV medium. I'd expect some of the following to appear in a dash created for a TV / wallboard:

  • Minimal layout (e.g. no splunk headers, blank background)
  • No controls that require a mouse / keyboard to use (e.g. header links, search boxes)
  • Highly visible (e.g. high contrast, black background, lots of colour, larger text size)

Does anyone have a dashboard template or app that they can share that they've used to create wall boards?

Check out the Unix App 5.0.0 and its home_fullscreen view. It uses a special template we developed to look good on wall monitors such as those one might see at a NOC/SOC and other operation centers.

We have been working on some views along these lines.... I will let you know if we come up with anything reusable.
