Usage of "layoutpanel"

I want to creat a series of beautiful chart using advanced xml.
But I wonder about the usage of "layoutpanel",As far as I know,it can have values like the following:
mainSearchControls
panel_row(n)_col(n)_grp(n)
appHeader
navigationHeader

Is there any other value it can use ?
Where can I found the document about usage of "layoutpanel"?
