Splunk JavaScript - Set custom Array manually to ChartView

Hi, I was wondering...

I am trying to split and transform some events for my Dashboard.
But I am getting to the point, where its getting really exhausting doing it within a single search.
Or, to put it like this: im trying to do things, spl can't or won't do.

So i got the idea to pre-transform my events, pushing them into an array, calculate the complicated stuff and finally push this array to my chart to visualize.

But as I see it, while using a ChartView in JS - the only way to get Data into the chart seems to be using a searchmanager, e.g. only "pure" search results are allowed.

Am I missing something here?!

Hi, maybe it's too late, but with ChartView.extend and formatData() you can transform your search result
