Splunk Dashboards Hyperlink

Hi

Ive a dashboard with 8 search fields, when the user inputs their search criteria such as an IP address this will produce a pie chart summary then a table showing that data across a number of data sets.

The issue is there is pages of tables and imagery so id like to have it that when the user searches on a field they could hit a hyper link that would jump to where that table ie e.g. 2 pages down is there a way of doing that?

thanks

Colin

This is only possible with a JavaScript extension. You would have to listen for the changes to the input elements, and then knowing which chart/table element is associated with the element, use the scrollIntoView function.

Here is how I wrap the my own function for scrolling to an element.

function scrollTo(eleID, setting) {
  var e = document.getElementById(eleID);
  if (!!e && e.scrollIntoView) {
    e.scrollIntoView(setting);
  }
}
