Hello All,

I've tried to change the background color of the dashboard. See below. I've copied the dark.css to the my application, $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/myApp/appserver/static/; and include the line, <dashboard stylesheet="dark.css"> in my dashboard.

1.First Variation
<dashboard stylesheet="dark.css">
...

2.Second Variation
<dashboard stylesheet="dark.css">
...
</dashboard>

3.Third Variation
<dashboard stylesheet="dark.css">
</dashboard>
...

They fail to work. Pls. advise. Thanks.

When ever you add an external stylesheet, you must restart splunkweb. You can do this by running:

$SPLUNK_HOME/bin/splunk restart splunkweb

This will pick up the CSS for the dashboard. Also, make sure you only have either dashboard or form as the opening tag. Don't have both.

Can you check if your CSS is operational or not, by converting your dashboard into HTML and directly adding your CSS in the HTML itself. This is a quick check to see if the CSS is good or not. Everything else seems fine to me.
