I have a table and I want to send the entire set of table results to another dashboard or page on the click of a button..is there a way to achieve this? Kinda like a "select all rows" thing using a checkbox at the top or something?
I have this for single selection values from another question I posted recently, however my JS skills are non-existent, so im not sure how to approach this. Is it possible with simple xml?
can you please elaborate on your use case?
what is the problem you are trying to solve?
if you need the same table for more processing in the second panel, you can use
base search for example.
@mwdbhyat I think you should consider KVStore where Rows selected in First Dashboard would be saved to KVStore and then read in the second Dashboard. However, do elaborate on your requirement for us to assist you better.
Refer to the following answer where I have added Text Box in Table Cell: https://answers.splunk.com/answers/682183/how-to-add-a-textbox-as-a-cell-in-a-splunk-table.html
And other one where I have added Button to Table Cell: https://answers.splunk.com/answers/687734/how-do-you-add-buttons-on-table-view.html
On similar lines you can add a checkbox which would update the KVStore as selected Row.
Which I used for my own dashboard. It creates a series of checkboxes next to each table row so that you can select the values and hit submit, it will then push the results to another table.
What I'm looking for now is to have a master checkbox at the top of my dash or table, so that it will select all the checkboxes in the table at once.. I imagine this will need to be done with JS.?
