Prevent users from running search from dashboard

I have an app provided by a vendor that includes a number of dashboards. I've created a new user/role called 'viewer' that I only want to have able to view the dashboards but not be able to click on anything in there and see the underlying data/search results.

Is there a way to do this? I've tried to change the drilldown values to none in the xml but that didn't help. I'm running on 6.3.2

thanks!

Perhaps you can create an external webpage, and embed your dashboards/reports on there?

IMO, only option would to be change the dashboard to remove drilldowns and remove option "open in search". If you can paste the xml of one of the dashboard, we can suggest changes to do the same. (mask the sensitive info from the dashboard xml)
