How to get time with dashboard?

I am interested in one question. There is a dashboard over time and it is created according to the example | timechart. How can I edit XML or write JS to get the time of the selected event (for example, through click.value2), or select the time range from this panel and write it in token?

I think that you should install and see the Splunk Dashboard Examples App ( https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1603/ ).
In this appa there are many useful examples, and one "Pan and Zoom Chart Controls" that describes how to implement time controls in a dashboard.
