I'm building a dashboard in Splunk dashboard studio which consists of a lot of tiles containing images. On clicking on any of the tiles, you get routed to a new dashboard in new tab. I want to add a hover function to both blue & orange tile so that as soon as the user hover on any of the tiles, he should be able to see a brief description about the dashboard (which gets opened in new tab).
Is there a way to do that?
While there is quite a lot of flexibility in simpleXML based dashboards (you can insert custom css, custom js and so on) but dashboard studio while nice and pretty doesn't allow for as much customization.
Do you mean we can't use JS to customize dashboards created in Splunk dashboard studio?
Nope.
See the tables here for comparison between simpleXML dashboards and DS ones.
