I want to add new tab "Summary" in one of the App main screen next to Search tab. i tried to create new view for it but it goes under "View" drop-down but I want it next to main tabs.

Example:
Search(tab) Dashboard(tab) Summary(tab) View(tab) Search&Report(tab)
hope Its clear what I am trying to do.

Thanks

Hi There,

What you need to do is add an entry in the default navigation menu for your new summary view.

In the GUI: Manager > User Interface > Navigation Menus > default

Before

<nav>
    <view name="dashboard_live" default='true' />
    <view name="flashtimeline" />
    <collection label="Dashboards">
        <view source="unclassified" match="dashboard"/>
        <divider />
    </collection>
    <collection label="Views">
        <view source="unclassified" />
        <divider />
    </collection>
    <collection label="Searches &amp; Reports">
        <collection label="Reports">
            <saved source="unclassified" match="report" />
        </collection>
        <divider />
        <saved source="unclassified" />
    </collection>
</nav>

After

<nav>
    <view name="Summary" default='true' />  <== Line added
    <view name="dashboard_live" />  <== "default='true'" removed
    <view name="flashtimeline" />
    <collection label="Dashboards">
        <view source="unclassified" match="dashboard"/>
        <divider />
    </collection>
    <collection label="Views">
        <view source="unclassified" />
        <divider />
    </collection>
    <collection label="Searches &amp; Reports">
        <collection label="Reports">
            <saved source="unclassified" match="report" />
        </collection>
        <divider />
        <saved source="unclassified" />
    </collection>
</nav>

This will add a menu tab for the "Summary" view, with the name visible in the menu being whatever the title is in the "Summary" view itself.

Hope this helps 🙂
