How do you draw lines on a map

I would like to draw lines on a map where utilities are buried. How could I accomplish this? I would like the layer to be visible or invisible depending on a form input. What would the data look like for lines?

Thanks!

Not sure you can do that in simple XML.You will have to create custom map layers using something like leafletjs. Or you can try this app
