Hide and show panels on button click

Hi all,
I know how to hide and show panels using link switcher and radio buttons.
but if there is a html button and we have two two map in a single panel namely->map1,map2
if button is clicked map2 should be displayed otherwise map1 should be displayed.

How to achieve this.
Kindly help
