HiddenChartFormatter and showMarkers

I am trying to use the HiddenChartFormatter. It says that the markers should be defaulted to on, but that doesn't work. I added <param name="charting.showMarkers">true</param> to no avail. Any ideas?

The property is charting.chart.showMarkers. Here is an example:

    <module name="HiddenSearch" autoRun="True">
        <param name="search">your search here</param>
        <module name="HiddenChartFormatter">
            <param name="charting.axisTitleY.text">Total # of Requests</param>
            <param name="charting.axisTitleX.text">Daily Requests</param>
            <param name="charting.chart">line</param>
            <param name="charting.chart.showMarkers">true</param>
            <param name="charting.chart.markerSize">5</param>
            <module name="FlashChart">
                <param name="width">589px</param>
                <param name="height">269px</param>
            </module>
        </module>
    </module>
