Hello all,

1) does Splunk allow us to have an image INSTEAD of a text when doing a mouseover tooltip in single value panels?

2) is it possible to do mouseover tooltip dynamically instead of a static text?

thanks in advance!

You can show a tooltip or popup on the hover of the Splunk component using Javascript only.  Kindly share your sample code and your requirement so we can help you more on this.

1) No, Splunk does not natively support this. Traditionally (outside of Splunk and from a general WebDev perspective) tooltips are not images, so you're probably going to want to focus on a "pop-up" image instead.

2) Once again, not natively.

However, you can do anything within the bounds of JavaScript using Simple XML Dashboard extensions. Read more here.
