Develop an external Portal/UI to display Splunk's Search Query results

Hi fellow Splunkers. Greetings.
Hope you guys are doing well.
I have a requirement where I need to build a dashboard/Portal/UI and display some search results from Splunk. Note that this dashboard is completely independent of Splunk,and it has been built using Javascript + HTMl,CSS and Bootstrap.

I found some articles which mentioned installing Splunk's SDK for Javascript ,but being a novice, I got confused. If anyone can tell me how to approach towards this problem,it'd be really great.

Do you want to create a Dashboard in Splunk or Display Splunk results in another portal/application??
