Dashboard shortcut in menu bar

I want to add my dashboard shortcut in navigation bar under splunk app for jenkins app. Could you please help me on this.

edit the default.xml by navigating to settings (top right corner) -> User Interface -> Navigation Menues -> default
modify according to the guidelines in links below to accomplish your requirements:
