Can Heat Maps be displayed on a per-column basis?

I have reports that generate Data Tables as output, and I really like the Heat Map overlay. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any way to have that applied on a per-column basis: Each column uses a different scale, and so comparing values across these doesn't make any sense.

Is this possible to do using the XML configuration?
