I'm new to Splunk and just wanted to understand how we can create automatic Lookup. If I can get an example that would be great.

Hi @ashvin123 ... @vikramyadav 's link is a superb one. 

 

Adding to that.. for other future newbie's, let me start from lookup - 

Step 1 - learn a basic lookup file. 

Step 2 - creating a lookup definition.

Step 3 - automating the lookup(your query)
