Joining in this discussion from a customer perspective is Ed Hubbard from Travelport. Travelport provides distribution, technology, and payment solutions for the travel and tourism industry. They have been using Splunk Observability and ITSI solutions to support their IT infrastructure. Like many organizations they were suffering from alert fatigue with fragmented monitoring tools, overwhelming alert volumes (up to 20,000/day), and difficulty identifying root causes, leading to longer mean time to detect (MTTD) and impacting service quality for its worldwide customers.
By engaging with Splunk experts from our Professional Services team they were able to improve efficiency across their stack for better searches and dashboards. Their Splunk expert helped to build a roadmap for their team to use to continue to improve their responsiveness to their customers through their Observability applications.
