Which version of mongodb does Splunk Enterprise use? Struggling to find anything.

In the $SPLUNK_HOME/bin directory you will find the mongodb binary and running this command:

./mongod -version

returns this output on Splunk 6.2.5 on Ubuntu 14.04:

db version v2.6.7-splunk
