Hi

I am  evalauting  with appdymanics to  understand its  oob  capability with  diffrence components.

I   would like   to instrument   a windows  service.  I  added the   the following snippet under  app agents

   <windows-services>
      <windows-service name="_NHMTSGateway">
        <tier name="Service Tier" />
      </windows-service>
    </windows-services>

Also  added server tier on controller  side and  added the poco entry  points    under configure ->instrumentation -> tier  with

 namespace.class name  and the method name as entry point.

I started  the appdynamics  service . However   nothing gets  displayed on controller UI .

I would appriciate if some one can provide the pointers in right directtion.

Hi Megha,

We request you to kindly create a HelpDesk ticket at https://help.appdynamics.com to track the issue better.

Could you also please attach the "DotNetAgent" folder present on the agent machine for our initial review with the ticket. This will help us review the logs and other configurations. The path of the folder would be -

If the agent machine is Win 2003 Server - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AppDynamics\DotNetAgent\
If the agent machine is any other windows machine - C:\ProgramData\AppDynamics\DotNetAgent. Please note that the folder "ProgramData" is hidden by default

Regards,

Gunjan.

Hi Megha,

Seems like the attachment didn't get to us.

Can you provide the email address associated with your appdynamics account.

Can you also try emailing the ticket related details and attachment directly to help@appdynamics.com and the new ticket will automatically be created from there.

Let me know if you still face the issue.

Regards,

Gunjan.
