Hi,

We have a linux server and we are running our application on Tomcat 1.6.  Sun JDK 1.7 and Jre 1.7 version is installed.

In appdynamics, when we turn on Object Instance tracking, we are seeing an error "tools.jar is not in the JVM classpath. You must add it to the classpath and restart the JVM.". I have manually copied tools.jar to jre/lib/ext folder also have restarted my application, still getting the same issue. Please can you help us on this regard?

Regards,

Vaishakh

Hi Vaishakh

I asssume you copied tools.jar from jdk7_home/lib to jdk7_home/jre/lib/ext let us know if any disconnect here.

If above said is right, please open new shell terminal console and start tomcat from new shell prompt and see how it goes. If issue still persists please send the zipped version of <agent_dir>/logs path for our review

Regards,

Arun

Hi,

Thanks, by restarting the application from a different shell prompt solved the issue.
