Where do I download AppDynamics Lite versions for Java

I need to monitor Java JVM for Websphere Application Server (WAS) / Jboss

I cannot find any link for AppDynamics Lite version of Java for monitoring WAS/Jboss

Can someone pass me the link for downloading latest version of AppDynamics Lite?

Again no actual download link just some more documentation to endlessly hunt through.    But don't worry, by the time you actually find the download link you will be expert.

That is "not a bug, but a feature". We allow you to try the Pro edition for 15 days, at which time it automatically reverts to LITE functionality. The download you're looking at IS the Lite download, it just has a 15 day Pro trial with it. After 15 days it becomes Lite.

I am not sure if this can be taken as a feature. As a user, I don't want to
try 15 days Pro trial.

Why not give access directly to the Lite version? Why force to use Pro?

If I want to upgrade, I will but just not today.

Hi Amit,

The good thing is AppDynamics is giving an option to evaluate customer real time distributed for free of cost using "AppDynamics Pro Trial" version for 15 days so customer have given privilege to use Pro version for 15 days and later the same controller will revert to LITE version and LITE version will work permanently as stated in docs https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO40/Lite+and+Pro+Editions

We do have earlier complete LITE version but that is not supported as of now the reason the LITE (lite viewer)version earlier does not have "all" the Pro Trail version (example information points, memory features , jvm heap stats all feature that we support for paid pro java agent/iis agent/php agent)  Hence we come up customer friendly option that is "far" better and best than the old LITE version now user can still use almost all Pro feature even in LITE version but the number of agent units will be set to 1 per agent type as stated in above doc link.

I believe if you go to appdynamics.com and follow the "Free Monitoring" link on the top right side, it will take you through to downloading the controller.

You can also go to download.appdynamics.com, log in, and download the controller.

The problem is when we try to download AppDynamics Lite, it forces us to download controller and try AppDynamics Pro trial for 15 days.

We want to download only a AppDynamics lite version for either WAS or Jboss JVM but there's no such option available at AppDynamics.com
