Scala Support

Hello,

We have a client interested in AppDynamics, but the client have stated that they are developing with Scala.

From what I know Scala is running on JVM  (is is alre referred as 'better java') it is translated to JAva bytecode,  then tagging might work?

I am very curious if it might work, and we could monitor Scala applications, and if someone have encountered with that already?

Thanks, Nir

Hi Nir,

Thanks for writing in. We see that scala is not supported out-of-box as per docs.

Can you please configure -javaagent on server with java code accessing scala code and check whether scala code shows up in call graph if not enable "find-entry-points" property and check whether access servlet/BT which acces scala code list any possible entry points in BT.log

Let us know how if that helps.

Thanks,

Arun
