We actuvally have pro running - but due to internal politics I am using the lite Forum 🙂 So bare with me 🙂
What we would like to do is to have apply metrics through one agent or the other (machine, java, or another, does not really matter), that allows us to apply timestamps to the metrics as well..
The reason for this, is that we have a closed systems, where we once every 15-30 minutes, can pull out performance information and at that point we are able to provide the data summed up on minutes as used in AppDynamics, however - we are unable to find a way to do this through the API's we could find.
Currently we are not able to break into the close system and change this behaviour (enabling us to send the information through one of the agents as the measurements appear) - and would also like a solution that did not force us to do this.
So is this possible - either through the machine agent web API, Java agent API or similar. We have tried to look deeper into what happens behind the scenes in the Java API - but we find our selves at a loss.
