I'm not able to download the trial package.
When I press the download button on https://portal.appdynamics.com/account/subscriptions/home/ the page reloads and nothing else happens. I tried it with IE and Firefox - at work and at home.

Check if you can download controller and agent from our download site, you can use the same trial license :
http://download.appdynamics.com/ , see if that helps.

Thank you for your reply. I was able to download the controler this way. However, my understanding is that the license is part of the trial download. At least I have not received a license by other means.
I will contact a sales person for the license.

I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience , Yes you are right the license.lic file will be available if you download from portal link you referred in initial post, We would like to inform that the portal team is actively working on the download button not working bug and we will update you once the issue at portal site got fixed,

We got confirmed from the concerned team that the license.lic file have sent to you in email, Can you please drop the license.lic file sent under <Controller_install_dir> and see how it goes?

We see that this issue is fixed now, Can you clear browser cache and re-login portal and let us know if you still see the issue, so that we will get in touch with concerned team to find the alternative way to send you the license.lic file, please confirm will take to the concerned team based on your response?

I have already downloaded and installed from the other link.
When I try to access the console I get the licence error.
So think I need the licence emailing so I can drop it in the appropriate dir

We understood your comments, but can you please clear browser cache and relogin at https://portal.appdynamics.com/account/subscriptions/home/ and click download link and check whether the download button is now working fine, as the issue with download button is fixed yesterday , and the installer under the above link will contain the license.lic file as well as you aware of.
We understood that you have downlaoded installer from other link and you need only license file, but we request you to download from portal link listed above and that should contain the license.lic file, hope that clarifies, let us know if you still see the issue at portal site.
