Network Time

Dear Sir 

I was wondering if it is possible to calculate the network time from the Java Tier as of result we can see the server and client time, but not the network time that has been taken to finish the transactions

Hi,

We understood that you are referring to time spent for exit calls from java tier to backend or other tier as referred in below screenshot, As of now we do not see "Network time" metric available directory for java agent for execution time spent on network for calls made from one tier to another tier/backend and the time shown on exit call ms between two tiers the response time shown includes the response time for backend/WS/JDBC calls which also includes network time and also time spent in ms for response of the call from the backend to return value

However can you see if network rountrip value using EUM metrics helps here , refer doc and below screenshot https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO40/Web+EUEM+Metrics
