Getting thread dump and heap dumps from app dynamics

How can i get thread dumps and heap dumps from appdynamics for my load test.Do i need to configure something before test or do i need to get thread dumps after the test.

Hi ,

As of now we do not have direct provision to collect heap dump for jvm with agent configured but you should be able to collect  thread dumps as stated in doc link hope that informaition helps:

you can also attach action to policy that will trigger thread dump action i believe

i went through that document but i am not sure do i need to only select thread dump sample and in interval do i need to put time time for what duration i want  to capture?

Hi, Yes you would need to provide the values for the interval and number of threads values for thread dump collection, hope that answers your query.
