Getting out of memory(leak of PermGen space) in AppDynamics Controller

Hi, 

I took look at server.log, there was out of memory(Caused by PermGen), so increased 'Xmx' value of java-option element.

Then  make the controller run well. 

I would like to know why there was PermGen of the Controller?

The controller performance profile is small(less than 6 nodes), and Xmx was 6GB for the Controller in domain.xml at Out of memory occured.

In ideal we see such issues with controller performance profile and the number of agents monitored and metrics(BT, snapshots rate) are not in sync as per system docs link, see if that additional informaiton helps :
