Because of a growing usage of cloud-based, non-agentizable (yes created that word), We find ourselves at a loss for the best way to integrate the information from the metric browser and data captured by extensions into the dashboard. One particluar pain point is the ability to easily aggregate health rules from multiple "applications" into a single dashboard. For some background, we have created a tiered dashboard structure that has overlays for correlative purposes so that conditions can roll-up to a high level overview dashboard, We use our dahsboards to service the specialized support teams, the NOC, and upper management.
Thoughts?

We have the same issue with the RabbitMQ extension - we have over 200 queues and outside of using the api, not finding a good way to view the various message options over the most active queues.
Same here.
We used to have a hidden ability to specify wildcards in metric paths, and this allowed for quickly creating widgets with a whole bunch of common metrics, but that feature was removed/blocked.
We rely on metric extensions quite a bit and I'm hoping the new dashboard features will allow for Custom Metrics to be applied with filters, so we can easily duplicate or filter dashboard metrics based on common metric paths.
I agree - you can use the wildcard with non-custom metrics but not for custom, as I understand it.
Ok thanks for the thoughts -- that's helpful to know. We'll work on how we incorporate wildcards in the new interface and run it by you.
This is definitely a useful feature. I had misspoke when I said it isn't working in 4.5. Using wildcards in metric paths now works again in 4.5.
So now we can again use something like...
Custom Metrics|DataPower|DPPROD*|OPENID|Transactions|*|Average Response Time (ms)
...and we get a nice graph of every available metric! Woohoo!
