I am working with several organisations here in Australia that CANNOT have any of thier application traffic off-shored to another country. What options do I have when it comes to selecting a different EUM Data Collector?
Thanks
-Erik
Hi Erik,
Thanks for writing in. You would need to install eum-collector.jar or web application on web server on default port 8080(configurable) which need to be configured, which is available under eum-collector.zip file(please be sure that this artifacts might not be available at download site) and this artifact should contain steps to start local eum data collector (and this collector should be accessible to javascript injected on BT view pages that accessed on internet/intranet.
We request you to file ticket at https://help.appdynamics.com/tickets/new or send email to help@appdynamics.com or contact your sales representative who could help you provide alternative eum data url if you have any issues access default data collector. Let us know if that clarifies your query.
Thanks,
Arun
Hi Nir,
As of now we do not see option to set alternative eum collector but this option is already considered part of feature requests for which there is no ETA. But let us know if the custom geo server feature is an option here:

Hi Nir - I'm the product manager for EUM. We could potentially setup the Sydney AWS location to be your aggregator. As Arun states please file a ticket with us to bring this to the right level of attention.
If someone is accessing this website from out of the country, say Japan, is it ok for the Tokyo collector to receive that beacon and then send it on to Sydney for aggregation and download by an onpremise controller? Essentially once data enters Australia it must stay there.
