I wanted to ask that can we monitor disk space utilization by using appdynamics ?

You would need to install machine agent to gather h/w metrics and you can create a Health rule as referred in below screenshot listed of type custom and point the disk space metric in condition section and can associate to policy with alerts configured , Hope that infomation helps:
