Configuring AppDynamics Controller iOS Application

I'm attempting to configure the AppDynamics Controller iOS application, and we'd like to be able to access the app from anywhere.

How have other AppDynamics users configured their iOS application?  We'd prefer to not have the controller open to the internet and have the iOS app bring up our RSA token page and then SAML IdP first before talking to the controller.

Does the iOS application have to talk to the controller first and then redirect for authentication? Are third party auth applications supported?

Something that might help would be to create a 'Custom Dashboard' that shows just the data that you are interested in.  Check out:

   https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO14S/Custom+Dashboards

Doing this, you could then create a custom firewall rule to work with the new Custom Dashboard that only exposes the Dahsboard, and not the rest of AppDynamics to the world.
