Hello,
Got the next problem after license automatically downgraded from Pro Trial to Lite:
> Agent license request denied. Agent type: php-app-agent; Node: xxx; Host: xxx; License Rule: Default; Reason: License limit hit for account
Agent (PHP, on single server) kept rejected for a long time
Tried to remove node, remove agent, remove application - nothing helps
I suspect it caused by issue on controller, but I cannot do anything here or just not see how to proceed
Did any one solved similar problem and could point me on solution?
Best regards,
Alexander
Hi Alexander,
Could you please navigate to licensing screen, settings => license => rule. Change the number of units on the default rule and assign license accordingly.
Please refer following documentation for more information.
https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO43/License+Management
Please let us know how it goes.
If this doesn't work or already have units set, please send across a similar screenshot from your licensing page.
Thanks,
Yogesh
Hello,
Changing these settings are not solved anything
Decreased number of allocated units for PHP http://prntscr.com/gmk08r but still see same registration error for Agent
This is how License page looks for me http://prntscr.com/gmk1ex
Why I still see Edition: Pro Trial and 0/5 units number instead of Lite since my license downgraded already?

Hi Alex,
Could you please log in to http://controller:port/controller/admin.jsp as the root user.
Select the relevant account(in case of single tenant, it is 'customer1') and manually update the license edition as lite. Please refer the attached screenshot. Please let us know if it helps after making the above changes.
Thanks,
Yogesh
For this, I am receiving a deny answer saying that I don't have permissions to access administrator console.
Hello,
Unfortunately, I could not log in to my controller admin page as you suggested
Got next reply after minutes of waiting for response:

Could anyone from AppDynamics team correct license settings for my account?
Thank you in advance
Best Regards,
Alexander
Hello,
So we could consider that issue is not resolvable from your side?
In such case it leads to complete AppDynamics usage cancel as registration of new account may have same effect (trial period expired -> downgrade -> issues with license)
Is there any possibility to register Lite account without any Pro trial?

Alexander
Hi there,
Is there any update to this yet please? I'm having the same issue.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
We understand your saas url is https://biker2017071910185323.saas.appdynamics.com . We are checking this with our saas team for the update.
In the meanwhile, can you please confirm if you are not able to register even a single agent? As per below document, when the Pro trial is expired it get changed to Lite and License agent unit is minimized to 1 unit. Are you trying to register more than 1 agent? Please follow below document for more information.
https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO43/Lite+and+Pro+Editions
Thanks,
Yogesh
I have the same problem. The dowgrade to lite does not work.
I have deleted all applications and wanted to register just a single one, the only one, and it complains with the message:
Agent license request denied. Agent type: python-app-agent; Node: node <some node>; Host: <some host>; License Rule: Default; Reason: License limit hit for account
My Settings -> license -> account still says I have a AppDynamics Pro Trial account but i am past the expiry date.
What gives?
Thanks @Yogesh.Chouk
Hi @Anonymous @Anonymous @Anonymous and @Anonymous
We have a solution to the thread on a similar issue.
Lite licenses only cover 1 unit of APM. If you're downgrading from the free trial, which covers 5 units, you should then expect to see errors.
Hope it helps.
Hello yogesh.chouk,
Can you please look into mine too? Same issue, will not connect after downgrade to lite. License still says expire pro and will not downgrade basically.

Thanks in advance,
Carl.

Hello again yogesh.chouk,
When can we expect an update to this? Your engineering team has been looking at this for over a month now.
Thanks in advance,
Carl.
Hi Carl,

Hi,
This issue is fixed, can you please verify and confirm if you are still seeing an issue.
Thanks,
Yogesh
Hello yogesh.chouk,
Can we have an update please? This has been ongoing with no visible progress or resolution for nearly four months now - that's a third of a year. If you're unable to provide us with support, then we'll look for another solution. This is a shame, because AppDynamics is a good product and if our start up takes off, we'd become a very good customer.
Regards,
Carl.
