why Splunk ODBC Driver is not supported on Splunk platform versions 7.x?

hi,
my customers are running on splunk7.0.1 enterprise platform and they want to visualize to "Qlick sense Desktop" through splunk ODBC. but splunk odbc app does not support more than splunk platform version 7.x

are there people who know about splunk ODBC app develoment roadmap on splunk platform version 7.x

As you already recognised, Splunk announced the Splunk ODBC Driver is not supported on Splunk platform versions 7.x.

We are facing the same issue on Splunk 7.3. Does anyone have an idea on the status of the enhancements request (DVPL-7360) ?

Error is: Unexpected response from server. Veriy the server URL. Error parsing JSON: Text only contains white space(s)

I'm seeing a lot of other posts with the same error. If this particular issue can be fixed in 7.x if the ODBC driver is not being developed further, that would fix our reports.

did you test the app on 7.0.1? Just because splunkbase stats its not support, doesn´t mean it will not work.

I have tested in my laptop and it doesn't work on splunk platform 7.x. As you know, Splunk ODBC build by
Splunk Inc. so I'm wondering Splunk will have a plan to build Splunk ODBC which be compatible on splunk platform 7.x

It was working for us on 7.0.2. Stopped when we upgraded to 7.2.5.1

Hi there, Enterprises using Splunk ODBC Driver 2.11 need it to work with SplunkCloud 7.x

After upgrading to 7.2.6, some critical Power BI reports have stopped refreshing.

I need to know when this will be fixed.

We rely on the ODBC connection for a number of metrics reports. Our company is planning the upgrade to 7.x, so we need this connectivity soon.

Hi euimok,

The enhancement request does not be published as It's an internal tracking so you won't be able to find it on the public, unfortunately. but if you have a right entitlement, you will be able to chase it up with your account manager how it goes.
