Trying to find out the inputs.conf configuration to add Website via directly editing the inputs.conf file for availability monitoring.
Please suggest with examples

The documentation describes that you can use the GUI to create new inputs. Have you tried that? Perhaps try that in a test environment, to see what inputs.conf is generated and then use that as your template?

This is exactly what I was going to suggest.

I will also add that I included an inputs.conf.spec file in the README directory which describes the various fields that the input accepts.

Can you please elaborate a bit on what you are trying to achieve?

You linked 2 different apps in your question, are you using one of these (if so: which)? What issues are you running into when following the configuration steps as documented for that app?

I have removed unwanted tagging now. I am using Website Monitoring Tool.
All I am looking for is its inputs.conf sample to add URLs for monitoring availability.
I would like to know how to add URL inputs for availability check to website monitoring other than using Splunk UI.
