opening JIRA issues

Can the Add-On for JIRA (1438 on splunkbase) be used to open JIRA issues?
If yes, please provide an example.

Hi - no it looks like the API is for harvesting data FROM Jira not for the creation of tickets.

That's my read of the posting on splunkbase (https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1438/#/details)
