new users can't upload apps?

why can't i upload an app? when i click it does nothing

You can upload an app even if you don't have much karma. Are you trying the link "upload an app" in the top menu? It works for me.

bit much to vote-down an answer where a splunk employee who works with splunk-base is offering to help and is looking into it! Good work on the troubleshooting the problem though 🙂

We are looking into that. Meanwhile, you might want to clear your cookies, logout and login and try it again.

I think that new users cant upload apps because they don't have enough reputation points?

However in the FAQ it doesn't actually list a required reputation number for uploading apps.

So I'm not positive in general, and I'm afraid I don't know how many rep points you might need.

it should say that! it doesn't say you don't have enough karma, it doesn't tell you how much is needed.
