multiple python process when using SNMP Modular Input

I am polling several network printers and i am getting data just fine. However for each snmp stanza i see a python.exe process in my task manager which is consuming memory. Is this normal behavior ? I would think once the polling is done and interval is set, the python.exe process would end. I would appreciate any insights to this.

That is correct behaviour. It goes into a polling loop.

Poll for data , sleep for polling interval , Poll for data etc....
