can we have export pdf in new window instead in tab.
Typically the new window vs tab behavior is controlled by the web browser. Check your settings there (Google if needed). Technically there is some HTML/JS stuff that Splunk could do but most likely this will fix the issue.
Sounds like you should open a support ticket and file it as a request for enhancement.
