could not able to access anything in "target datamodel" dropdown, what might be possible reasons? My splunk enterprise version is 7.0.0 , using the latest version of SA-cim_validator . Any help to resolve the issue will be appreciated.

if you are looking to validate agains Splunk developed datamodels, part of Common Information Model, you need to install Splunk_SA_CIM, see https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1621/ Otherwise, you will need to create your own datamodel definitions to validate against.
